("SpotCheck") an Alberta corporation, presents this Privacy Policy ("Policy") as a testament to our unwavering commitment to transparency and the safeguarding of users' personal information. Any individual or business using SpotCheck’s Services is referred to as the 'user' or 'you.' This Policy governs your access and utilization of SpotCheck and its affiliated websites, services, applications, products, and content, collectively referred to as the 'Services.
The ensuing Policy delineates the methods by which SpotCheck gathers, employs, and engages with user personal data. Specifically, it encompasses:
1. Data collected by SpotCheck during a user's active engagement with the application.

1. Information acquired by SpotCheck from external sources beyond the SpotCheck platform.

Upon downloading the application, and establishing a personal a SpotCheck account, the user explicitly consents to the prevailing Policy. We retain the right to periodically modify or update this, Policy. In the event of policy modifications or updates, the continued use of the SpotCheck application and/or services by users will be construed as an acknowledgment and acceptance of the revised terms. It remains the user's responsibility to periodically review any policy updates. If an individual does not accept the terms of the Policy, the decision to download the service ultimately rests with the user. If an individual does not agree to this Privacy Policy, or any continuation or updated version, please refrain from using our Services or providing us with any of your information. SpotCheck is exclusively accessible to individuals aged eighteen years or older. SpotCheck does not store data or provide services to minors. It is crucial to note that SpotCheck assumes no liability for inaccurate user information submitted, as providing false information, including but not restricted to the user’s birthdate, contravenes the stipulated Terms of Service. If you become aware that personal data about an individual under the age of eighteen has been submitted to us, please promptly reach out to us at info@spotchecknightlife.com.

2) Third Party Content, Links and Affiliation
Within SpotCheck's User Application, various "Spot Pages" are featured. These Spot Pages may contain external links to third-party companies engaged in event bookings, ticket sales, additional social media platforms, and web pages. It is important for users to be aware that clicking on these external links could enable third parties to collect and track data about the individual user. The management of such data falls under the purview of the privacy policy and terms of service of the respective third-party entity.
Once a user navigates away from the SpotCheck application by clicking on these external links, SpotCheck absolves itself of any responsibility for subsequent proceedings related to data storage, sharing, and distribution. Any further actions or consequences are governed by the policies established by the external third-party entities.

In order to provide nightlife enthusiasts with the most precise, current, and realistic information, SpotCheck collects substantial amounts of user information. Moreover, through this data aggregation, SpotCheck compiles a meticulously curated list of the most vibrant entertainment venues in the city.

4) Personal Information Collected from User Created Accounts
Once a user downloads SpotCheck, they will need to sign into the application and create an account to access services. Certain user input is mandatory, while some is optional when creating and managing an account. SpotCheck may collect your account information, including but not limited to the user’s birthday, name, username, phone number, gender, profile picture, etc.
We may collect, use, store, and transfer various types of information collected from users and users' actions on the platform, including:
i. Personal Information: Information by which you may be personally identified, such as name, postal address, email address, telephone number, or any other identifier that can contact you or identify you online or offline.
ii. Non-identifying Information: Information about you that does not individually identify you, such as race, age, or gender

5) How SpotCheck Collects Your Information
SpotCheck collects information through several methods:
1. Information you directly provide through registration, or use of the platform, including surveys, research, or special events. This includes Contact Information (such as name, email address, phone number, and address), Sensitive Information (such as billing information, political affiliation, union memberships, or any biometric information you provide), and General Personal Information (such as birthday, gender, sexual orientation, education, personal interests and background, photos, phone contacts, or any other information you share on the application).
2. General information about how you use our application, including details about location, content viewed, and tracked experiences which may be automatically collected.
3. Information about your device and its software, including IP address, browser type, internet service provider, platform type, date and time stamp, cookies, unique mobile device numbers (such as device ID, IDFA, Google AdID), device type, model, manufacturer, mobile device operating system information, mobile carrier, and other downloaded apps.
4. Information collected through your communications with us, including emails, comments on third-party pages (e.g., Facebook, Instagram), or messages through social media services.
5. Information collected through third-party social networking sites if you connect your account to them. This may include your name, profile picture, public profile, photos, videos, contacts, friends list, or followers. By using or linking our application through or with social media sites, you authorize us to collect, store, retain, and use any obtained information. We are not responsible for the privacy settings on any social networking site.
6. Information about your location through GPS, Wi-Fi, or other methods, and approximate location through your IP address.
7. To assist us in comprehending how you utilize our Services, we automatically collect log information, including the browser you use, the frequency of your visits, the pages you view, and your IP address.

When paying subscriptions, promotional fees, or any other charges, we utilize reputable third-party payment processors to gather and store credit card numbers. All transactions are conducted through these processors. The third parties will be responsible for your billing information, that is submitted to them.
9. In order to provide friend suggestions from your phone contacts, SpotCheck will store your address book on our servers if you have agreed to share your contact’s with SpotCheck.

a. In the aggregate: We disclose the personal information outlined in this policy to service providers and business partners to facilitate business operations and for various business purposes. These purposes include providing collaborative services, conducting research, administering contests and special offers, technology services, facilitating deliveries, deploying emails, managing advertising, performing analytics and analytic measurement, storing, and hosting data, ensuring disaster recovery, optimizing search engine performance, conducting marketing activities, and processing data. Aggregate reporting will never include a user's name attached to reported data.

9) Updating, Deleting or Changing Personal Account Information
If a user wishes to modify or update their account information, they can conveniently do so within the SpotCheck App. If the user encounters difficulties making these changes personally, they may request assistance by sending an email to info@spotchecknightlife.com.
It's important for users to acknowledge that should they opt to delete their account or personal information, backend data may persist for compliance with legal, tax, or regulatory requirements. This ensures adherence to established guidelines and obligations.
10) User Options to Disclose Information
At SpotCheck, we encourage users to optimize their experience by voluntarily sharing location information and providing comprehensive details when creating profiles. While full information sharing is encouraged, SpotCheck recognizes the importance of user discretion and offers safeguard mechanisms for those who prefer to use services without extensive information submission. SpotCheck provides users with the flexibility to tailor their settings, encompassing, but not limited to, the ability to modify location sharing preferences, manage photo/camera access, exercise user blocking/reporting options, configure privacy settings, and adjust profile customization and visibility.
Users are entitled to provincial rights and protections granted by legislation. For detailed information on these rights, users are advised to consult with a legal professional who can provide guidance based on the applicable laws and regulations of Alberta. SpotCheck is committed to providing users with choices, and control over their information. SpotCheck notes that individual preferences may vary.
11) User Rights

We will address your request in accordance with applicable laws and after proper verification. It's important to note that we do not discriminate based on the exercise of any privacy rights you may have.
12) Cookies & Tracking
We utilize cookies and similar tracking methods, such as web beacons ("Cookies"), to automatically gather information, analyze the sections of our application you access, enhance your application experience, and, if applicable, deliver targeted marketing within the application. Users bear the responsibility of maintaining the confidentiality of their passwords to prevent unlawful access. We request that you refrain from sharing your password with anyone. Similar to many online services, each time you access our application, your IP address will be automatically collected.
